Informed/Insightful information requested on Tannoy GRF loudspeakers
Based on my experience, I too endorse Tannoy. I’ve also had Klipsch. Tannoy prestige are more detailed in my 4000 cubic foot, sound treated, dedicated 2-channel listening room. Since purchasing my Kensingtons, I’ve added Tannoy super tweeters and ...
Any thoughts about the RR-888
SNS, I’ve never seen a variable output with the Acoustic Revive 888. What’s up with that?
Any thoughts about the RR-888
For a few years, I’ve had a pair in a 3000 cubic ft sound treated room. Their positive impact is on the size of the sound stage — not the SQ. It’s subtle but genuine to me. Best detected by listening with the resonators off vs on. They’re mounted ...

Pure Silver Wire
I’m a musical detail freak. Darwin Cable is where I ultimately landed after years of cable upgrades, inchding Odins. Darwin’s have great sound, and the builders provide top tier service. Darwin produces a number of differently priced models. As st...
Let's talk about Silver...
I’m described as a “detail-freak”. My system is sounded to be quick on transients. Vinyl is are my principal medium. For the minority of open reel to reel users, I switched from pure copper to custom- made pure silver interconnects into the tube ...

What contributes most to a change in how an amplifier sounds?
My experience is that the color of the housing is the most influential determinant. A shiney black case produces less harmonic distortion. And I agree that a good on/off switch can make a critical difference.

I applaud your seeking opinions with your hobby colleagues. But isn’t this a conversation — rather than an email string — also to be conducted with your healthcare team of ophthalmology, endocrinology, and primary care? If their guidance is too va...
