Selling collection directly in the pacific northwest?

This forum is in the business of selling audio gear for a commission. Perhaps not surprisingly, they take a very dim view of folks trying to sell their gear to one another in forum threads. They also do their best to prevent folks from exchanging their contact info in PMs.

Like I said earlier, if you're not ready to consign your gear to a shop or list it for sale on here quite yet, your best bet in order to gauge local interest is to post a list of your gear on craigslist. It's always best to sell locally whenever possible: no shipping / payment hassles and you get to meet nice people too.

I think Audio Connection is still there on 'The Ave'.

I am into analog, so might be interested in cartridges. I am in Seattle.

Hawthorne are excellent guys, but they are a business so won't give you same price as private sale.

Have just seen recent post pointing out this is a for-sale site and thus gauging interest for private sales on a forum is bad form. Have to concur. My bad to show such an interest.

Hi. I have my original Marantz 1060 integrated which I bought in 1972 with wood enclosure. I am sure it needs new caps. But it is just collecting dust down here in Vancouver, WA

You may find some stuff is harder to sell online than others, or just run out of patience with C-list bottom feeders and their lowball offers, and at that point, Hawthorne is your best bet. 

I do look forward to you posting a list - im always interested in interesting gear.
