Schiit Yggdrasil DAC ??

Ricevs - please share your impressions once you hear it, TIA!

It's currently in production, and the latest expectation for its release is within a couple of weeks.

I know where you're coming from! It's expected that the initial production run will quickly sell out. I was all set to purchase one, but now with the reports of Meridian's MQA performance I'm reluctant to invest in any new DAC unless it includes this apparently revolutionary technology.

Sorry, but there are no tubes in the Yggy.

Winson - in the new May/June 2015 issue of The Absolute Sound, on pages 50 to 60. Quite impressive!

BTW, an update on Schiit Yggdrasil's availability was just posted, and promised to be less than one week from now!!!

Winson - also some good info on MQA available here, although not as extensive as in the new issue of TAS.

The "mixed" impressions were from a recent CamJam headphone show, where the DAC was initially not powered up for a sufficient amount of time to reach its best performance. The manual for the Yggdrasil specifically requires the unit to be on continually for best performance, and even for a minimum of a few days after its initial break-in. YMMV
