Roy Orbison

I just picked up Roy Orbison All Time Greatest Hits a original on Monument Records [ MLP 8000 ] for 10 $ in just about perfect condition. This record is flat out amazing the sound is just unbelievable deep bass Roy's voice wow I had goose bumps the whole time I listened to it. This has to be one of the best finds I ever had and 10 bucks what a deal ! Anybody else have this record did I get lucky and find a [ Hot Stamper ] or are all of these just great recordings ? The first time I listened to this I was stunned chill's running up and down My body . I can think of very few records that are this stunning start to finish any thoughts from you fellow audiogoners. It is great but I've never heard anyone decribe Roy as having a "deep bass voice".
I have this as well and the recording is just that good. It is pleasing to know that someone had enough apreciation
for what and who they were recording. Goosebumps? Yep that emotion comes through the speakers as if Roys spirit is in the room with you.
No body better than the "BIG O" I get goose bumps myself everytime I play his stuff...
I read today Buddy Harman died.He was the drummer on "Pretty Woman" and "Crazy" by Patsy Cline,"Ring of Fire" Johnny Cash and Elvis' "Little Sister" and Loretta Lynn's "Coal Miner's Daughter" And Tammy Wynette's "Stand By Your Man".On more than 18,000 recordings.R.I.P. Buddy and all the other overlooked heroes we've all heard and not known.
Narrod I did not mean to say Roy's voice just the bass on the recording. I just think it may be one of the best recording I have quality wise and I like the songs the emotion in the voice . I also get the same feeling with the 5 American recordings of Johnny Cash also great. Marc
