Room Dimensions and Devore

I am considering using space in my office as a dedicated listening area.  I had the pleasure recently of auditioning both the Devore O/93 and O/96.  Both were tremendous speakers and I would be happy with either, although in the rectangular shaped room I heard them in, I liked the O/96 a bit more.

My main concern is about the irregular shape of my room that I would be placing them in, diagramed here:  https://systems.audiogon.com/systems/9665  When placing the speakers approximately two feet from the side walls, this will leave approximately 7 feet between tweeters.  The room is carpeted and I would be adding acoustic panels to the walls.

I welcome feedback on two questions.  First, given the placement of the speakers and position of the couch, any downsides to room dimensions - that is, will the shape disrupt the acoustics in such a way that I should think twice about using this space as a listening room?  Second, given the placement of the speakers and distance between them, any reason why the O/93 or O/96 would be better than the other?  That is, for those who own the O/96s, is 7 feet between tweeters sufficient distance to really take advantage of their benefits?

Thanks in advance!

Devore is super approachable and knows how to get superb sound out of a bizarre shaped phone booth hotel room. Call em.

Of course the room matters but it isn’t everything…….
