Rogue Cronus

Im only getting sound from one speaker on the phono stage of my amp... but when I stream from other sources via Aux 1... I get sound from both speakers.

I presume it’s a fuse or tube, but how do I trouble shoot this? (Or should I check something else?)

Thanks!

SOP. First swap a known good signal into the input. If its a phono stage input then its expecting a very low signal level, so be careful not to overdrive it. Use a source with variable output, turn it way down, connect it, then turn it up. Any sound at all coming from both speakers and you know the problem is upstream.

Then do the same with whatever is upstream- RCA from the turntable, or where it connects to the arm, or cartridge pins. You aren't specific at all but for this you need to be. So go try one after the other until you narrow down to the culprit. Works every time. SOP.
I had this issue and thought it was a bad phono cable. I got a replacement cable and one channel was still out when set to phono. I experimented a bit and twisted the plug in the Cronus II Magnum RCA slot. That did the trick. For some reason, I have to twist the RCA in just right to get a solid connection. All other inputs have always worked fine.
