Replacement Grill Cloth for Sonus Fabers

Go to your local fabric outlet and look for "Double Knit" fabric they are sure to have several black ones for you to choose from.

Regular grille cloth is available form Madisound and from Parts Express

I found the fabric wrapped elastic cord at Mandala Crafts to be visually identical to the original new SF grilles.   The 1mm size matches and can be had in colors other than black if you want to liven things up.  

Stories of very expensive replacement of the grilles and a long info turnaround led me to find a substitute, and this is very close.  Sonus Faber offers restringing kits for $80.  No regrets though.  Now they look as sharp as they did day one, and I still enjoy their sound...
