Replace Auraliti

I have a old Auraliti digital player, I assume technology has improved and am looking for something new to play my flac files that are on a SSD.

I do not want streaming, I do not want to build a computer or anything with a raspbeyy pi.

All I want is a box that I can plug in a SSD and then connect to my Linear Tube Audio Aero DAC.

I am considering a used Lunim U1 Mini but I rerad how people are having trouble playing local files.

I have a Sotm sps-500 psu I would connect for a better power supply.

I'm getting crosseyed reading all the posts that digress and never answer this question.

Thanks all for any helpful suggestions.

Auralic is my choice of streamer and they can read local files just fine either LAN or a connected drive. Lots of used Aries models out there.

I am guessing you are in the budget market... Bluesound sounds great for the money... no mater what you do you are going to end up with a streaming capable device. Then once you start using it, unlikly you will go back, A BlueSound Node can be found for ~$379... great value for the money. Also the control software is very good.

Not really bdget limited, ive been looking at used auralic aries and lumin u1 minis, just woild rather not have the circuit cluttered up with streaming suff.

Problem with auralic is many are on third owner and have no idea it needs to be deregistered to allow me to register which is the only way to access software updates.

The Aurender model sound really food playing local files. Ive tried a couple of streams with local files and I found them wanting when it comes to sound. For example, I had a Hi Rose 130 and my Mac air sounded much better playing local files.
