I have pre with dual manual volume control, with my Sabre chip dac I can do fine volume control with dac. With my R2R dac I have to manually set volume, gripper could be solution.

Not used with company or even the little women hovering around, she’d kill me for not moving off my listening chair, this is my solution. Works perfectly for when I’m song jumping and the volume needs regulating to max fidelity.
