Recommendations for a 1-2k used amp?

I have a pair of Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grands. Over the years I've run them with several amps. I listen to rock, light rock, country, and 80s and 90s pop for the most part. I really enjoyed the way an old ARC D-60 used to make things sound. I upgraded to a McCormack DNA 125. This produced mixed results. The soundstage, imaging, speed, bass, and some detail improved. However things also became a bit to forward, fatiguing, and bright, especially for anything that was not an excellent recording. (A lot of what I listen to is that way)The old ARC D-60 was a lot more fun to listen to and produced some more subtle details in the music. I enjoyed listening to music with it vs listening to speakers and the way the amp controlled the music if that makes any sense. Does anyone have any recommendations for an amp in the 1-2k range that would work with my preferences? Thanks.
