Recomendations on transport

Looking for cheap dsd Transport

Network Audio

Right now I am using a DAP as an USB transport and it works perfectly accept I have no remote and can’t connect anything to to it as a controller. Add to this, the interface is horrendous and uses a .5 font.

I do not stream from the internet at all. The only thing I play are on either an USB external drive or an SD card.

I would love to pay less than $1,000 used. I need the files to pass to my Dac without any transport Dac interference and I need USB out and be able to use some sort of remote controller.

By the way, do the Little Green Computer Sonic Transports have USB outs? From what I can gather the USB’s on the unit are input only and this seems strange to me.

Any thoughts on the Zen Micro Stream?

How about the DigiOne from Allo.com ?

Thanks

@tonydennison if I understand correctly, you have a storage device with DSD files. And you are looking to be able to play those thru your PS Audio DAC.
First if all, PS Audio DAC will play DSD over PCM (DOP).
You need a streamer that has USB in and USB out.
Lumin U1 Mini comes to mind. Should be around your budget used. Has a creppy interface though. But is a good sounding component.
To improve the interface experience you can use Roon and that’s a subscription service and requires a computer to run the Roon Core on. Like the mac mini for example. The Lumin will then become a Roon Endpoint.

the Scarlet Book (Sony/Phillips regulations for SACD) restricts how transports can pass a dsd stream from an SACD.

so solving your problem is not real world at your budget. you need a transport and dac that have a proper interface. it varies from situation to situation.
