Deep Purple were an early inspiration and influence on my love of music..My love of hard rock way back when...He was a great musician.

Whip smart and well spoken too. He rates right up there with the likes of Rick Wakeman (Yes), Keith Emerson (E.L.P.), and countless other Prog. Rock keyboard players. Too many to mention in this posting. Been a huge Deep Purple fan forever. The loss of Jon Lord is a loss to the world of classic rock. R.I.P.
