Problem: DAC or streamer San Francisco east bay help

This is addressed to my audiophile neighbors. A while back my Innousdisplayed: DAC disconnected. I tried everything under the sun to figure out the problem. Innous thinks it's a DAC issue. Ben at MOJO Audio doesn't agree. Is there anyone out there between El Cerrio and North Oakland/Lakeshore who has a streaming system that I may bring my DAC to. I called Music Lovers Audio, agreed to pay them to check my DAC there. They said no. Sending the DAC back will bev expensive not to mention the cost of service. Yes, Innous will probably agree to a remote meeting. The easiest and most hassle free solution is what I'm requesting.Anyone? Thank you so much.

My pleasure.   I hope you get the issue figured out.  Very nice of you, g9, to offer assistance.  That made my day seeing the offer of help.

You might want to consider purchasing an inexpensive DAC that has the same inputs as your current DAC for testing purposes. If that DAC is recognized and works with your streamer using the same interface you will know for sure that the issue is with your DAC.  You could also try out other types of connections between the DAC and your streamer.

You can buy inexpensive Topping DACS on Amazon and Schiit Audio has  inexpensive DAC's.  You can either return the DAC that you try it or use it as spare while decide what you are going to do if your current DAC is bad.

It never hurts to have spare equipment around.  Good Luck.

Were you able to solve this problem, finally? I am local to you (just north of Albany) if you still need to try out the DAC/streamer experiment. I have an Innuos PulseMini in my system. It does seem that the difficulties of sharing personal information might be an obstacle, though.

@Cooper.  Thank you! I'd love to bring the DAC to you.

Are you on US Audio Mart?
