Power cable architecture from start

Hello guys,

So, I am taking the first step to start upgrading the cables in my system (N20--> Tambaqui --> Luxman509z --> 805D4).

I am planning to start with power cables. I have a dedicated 20amp recepticle on a 10awg wire. Currently everything goes through that with a cheap power strip.

This is what I was thinking. Please help me refine, add to this as you see.fit.

1. Get a puritan PSM156 conditioner. Get a HC 20 amp cord for it ?

2. Get C15 cord for Amp HC I guess ?

3. For DAC/Source get 15 amp C15 power cord.. should this be high current or Noise reduction.. for shunyata I see NR/HC varieties.

……listen ( no pun intended ) to classicrockfan as cables , line conditioners are a waste of money, and all amps and speakers sound the same . The more my system progressed and became more refined , the more these pieces made a difference . Yes , they all make a difference but what do I know …..just ask him !

20 amp cables have a C19 connector on the equipment end. Maybe try the Puritan Ultimate cables, people seem to like them.

Using the Two Links below will introduce Power Cable and Termination for it that will surpass a usual Wall Connection, as the Wago has Pure Copper used as clamps.

My experience is that PCCCC Power has a substantial influence on SS and Digital. Valves is more subtle in discerning a difference created.

HC = high current.

I see 20 amp being mentioned on some cables. I am looking at audiomart for used cables. I guess it means that they are thicker gauge and can carry higher current. But I am not sure if they are better than 15 amp regular cords. Also, perhaps, there are different recommendations for power conditioner vs amp vs other gears.

I am not an influencer or affiliated with Puritan. Just highlighted my preference.

What is "HC 20 amp cord"? there's no such thing as '20amp cable' (measured in gauge)

If you're not an influencer for Puritan (i guess it's a cable/power conditioner reseller)  do not waste money on power cables/conditioners.
