Possible ac line static.

Have some ac line  static from my tweeters,
Only have 1 outlet for complete stereo and tv etc.

would a new power strip help, or is it just going to be that way?

That sounds more like a cap or diode going bad.

Here's the best test, turn off everything in the house via the panel. If the ticking goes away then yes, it's something else, possibly a router or switch too lose.

If it sticks with you, I'd be concerned the amp is going bad.
By the way, Furman with LiFT and SMP have the best noise filtering I know of. If it's working correctly I don't think you need to switch strips, get your amp checked out.
What does this mean??

What is AC line static and what does it sound like to you?  How old is your amp and pre?
