Perfect Path Technologies
Other threads have been focused on one particular product, and I thought it might be appropriate to start a more general one to discuss various current (and future) products from this company. Users of PPT products, and those who are interested in or considering them, please post your experience, thoughts, questions etc.

I purchased a new home in early October, so I have been in the process of getting my system set up, settled in, and back to where it was before. During that time I had forgotten a little bit how profound the “Perfect Path Effect” is. Does it defy conventional thinking, and easy explanation? Absolutely, but I have proven to myself over and over that it is very real.
All the signal and AC connections in my system were previously treated with Total Contact. It had plenty of time to cure, so I did not reapply it when I set up this time. I have 16 of the original Omega mats, two each under my CD transport, DAC, pre, amp, power strip, on top of my speakers, and on the outside of my breaker box. I have an Alpha card on the back of both speakers, over the crossover. I have StopIts on the unused inputs and output of my pre. I have StopIt ACs in all the unused listening room outlets. The latest addition is a pair of Omega+ mats on the outside of my breaker box.
I could go on and on about natural detail & dynamics, coherence, involvement with, and just plain “realness” of the music, but, in the end, it’s something you have to hear for yourself. I really wish I could have everyone that reads this over to listen with me 🙂
It has been 240 hours since I placed an Omega+ Emat on my switchboard. Just a few observations. First thing noticeable is the power in the base with some tracks. I have a concrete base, so it does not reverberate to my sitting position. Kind of wish it was wooden floors, as this would be felt. It's not a thump though. The 'depth' of the music has increased. Hearing way more into the music. And accompanied with this, there is musical information I had not heard before. Some subtle/head turning, some continual. Instrument separation is more evident. Even with complicated pieces, it is easier to follow different streams. The realism has increased. With some tracks, I can place where the musicians are on stage. My listening satisfaction has increased, with this small listening sample. No critical listening as yet - system is in the family lounge (a small 130m2 house) - wife is watching a movie on Netflix next to me, with a daughter alongside. |
Christmas Day here; a little different in the land of beaches, barbeques, warmth. With two children overseas (Edinburgh, Montreal), a quite quiet Christmas. Lamb chops, chicken, mussels, salads in an hour. This evening, will be sitting outside with a fire (via brazier), music, movie. And, a Merry Christmas to all lovers of music, no matter its form! |
koestner ... Put your first two Omega + Mats in the circuit breaker box. Presently, there is a bundle price being offered by PPT on two Omega + Mats. https://perfectpathtechnologies.com/product/2-pack-emat Frank |
koestner ... On the mats vs the fuses ... Hard to determine this one. If you're getting two of the original Omega mats, I'd go with the mats. If you are getting one mat and doing all of your electronics with the fuses, I'd go with the fuses. If the decision is one mat or one fuse, I'd go with the mat in the circuit breaker box. Another alternative would be to buy a Total Contact kit and paste all of your connections with TC. If you did that, I believe you'd have better results than you would from just one original mat or one fuse. Warning ... These products are like eating potato chips. Once you get started, it's hard to quit. Happy New Year ... Frank |
