Pathos Classic Remix Clicking Changing Inputs

I'm trying out a Pathos Classic Remix from Upscale Audio. When switching from input to input, I'm hearing a clicking noise coming from the unit. As the switching is done by relays, this may be normal. But is this normal? Occasionally I'll hear it slightly through the speakers as well, but it's mostly from the unit.

I tried writing Pathos but got no response.

Not uncommon, always turn down the gain or mute before changing inputs. I can hear a minor click in my Classic MKIII.

One of the reasons I'm trying to expand my reach of opinions is that no one there seems to have actually used the Classic Remix. I don't deal with Kevin Deal directly, and the couple who are familiar with the line there whom have answered only know the Legos and higher. They did say that they hear it, and even hear it on the Primaluna, which also uses relays.

But I also read a review of the Legos on Positive Feedback that mentioned silence switching between inputs.

I also assume that all of the Pathos integrateds use the same designs, so there'd be a crossover.

It's just different to hear the click from the unit, and occasionally through the speakers.

My Pathos preamp makes a soft clicking sound when changing volume or inputs.  It only comes from the device, not through the loudspeakers.  Leave it to those Italians to a relay switch that sounds kind of sensual.

I'm the Canadian service tech. The clicking you hear from the unit itself is perfectly normal. Relays make noise when they switch.

You may experience a small, and I stress small pop from your speakers occasionally. That is a small amount of DC offset coming through, or possibly a little interference being picked up. Sometimes that DC is coming from the source you are using, or it could be the tubes. If it is low level, and/or occasional, then it is nothing to worry about.
