Pass Labs Int Amp: Volume Control Step

Hi All,

I am looking at Pass Labs Int Amp for my next upgrade, eyeing the Int-60.

I notice for the volume control, per step change is 1dB. My concern of 1dB step is at +1dB it is too loud but at -1dB it is too soft.

Any current or past Pass Labs int amp users, wished that the 1dB step could be finer like 0.5dB?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

My combination is the same as gcdrum's.  I've never wished for finer control of volume.  According to many "experts" 1 dB is the "just noticeable difference" for volume anyway! (I know that's not totally true, but still...)

I have a new pair of Acoustic Zen Crescendo mkii.  Awesome combo with the Pass INT-60!
Used ot own the INT-30A.  Also no problems with volume control.  Absolutely loved that amp, only sold it when I changed to high efficiency speakers.
Use to own int -150 ,vol control not an issues ,very small different in 1db.
use it to drive dynaudio C1,just my 2cent
I have the Pass INT-60. It's a terrific amp and the stepped volume control is fine. Never a problem the volume interval being too big between numbers.
jafant: nice. which int amp you are considering?

zavato & lowrider57: Thanks for the replies.

By the time the sound waves travel thru your room to your listening position, you will be hearing less than 1dB gain when you move the volume control.
I had a Pass integrated and now have a Pass preamp.

Never wished  for any finer steps on the volume control
