Parasound JC2 vs Rogue RP-7

Upgrading from a parasound P5.

Speakers = Revel F208
Power amp = Parasound A21

Aside from the obvious difference (tube vs. ss), which preamp is the better choice and why?

The Parasound has no balance control.  That ruled it out for me.  The pair of gain controls just don't hack it.
