Should be fine to connect the PDR-10 to the 4 ohm terminals. The input impedance of the subs speaker level inputs is into the thousands of ohms It Won’t affect anything.
Paradigm PDR-10 Connection Question
I'm looking to integrate a Paradigm PDR-10 into my system. I've recently moved into a smaller home and have sold my B&W 803D's in favor or a pair of B&W 705 S2's. The speakers and sub will be connected to my McIntosh MC402 amplifier (used for both channels) as I hear this is preferable to connecting them to my McIntosh C45 pre-amp. The MC402 has left and right 2 ohm, 4ohm, and 8 ohm outputs. I always had my 803D's connected to the 8 ohm terminals. Is it OK to connect the PDR-10 sub to the 4 ohm terminals with the B&W's connected to the 8 ohm ones? If not, what is the best way to connect everything? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks - Scott
