The best conductors make the poorest cartridge clips in that they are both soft metals (copper and silver) and will therefore not keep a good grip on the pins, which can be a disaster, if the clips were made of either of those pure metals. Are the Cardas copper ones actually pure copper? I'd go with the rhodium plated or any other clip that has some appeal. Many of the better clips are gold-plated, as well. Whatever you like best is fine. In my opinion.
Opinions on best tonearm clips/tags Cardas, Mitchell or does it even matter
I'm wanting to order tags this week. Will be used on a Well Tempered arm. Can you really tell a difference between Cardas copper vs Cardas rhodium. I like how the Mitchell's have a separate compartment so solder doesn't run into section cartridge slips in but they are silver plated may be a good thing or not. Anyone ever heard an improvement on such a small thing. I'm having a hard time believing it really matters, I would think longevity is more very important.
