Opinion of JM Lab Profil 7?

I bought a used pair of JM Labs Profile 7 speakers recently. Cabinets and grills were not in the best shape, but the midrange and sound staging was excellent, especially for a used speaker.  I don't find the highs bright at all with a Sunfire Ultimate receiver powering them. New speakers would have to be well over $1500 to come close to the sweet sound of these speakers.

I heard a pair about 2 years ago and did not strike appealing. I find the midrange good but the highs were a bit exposed, bright and sometimes brittle even when driven with tube amps.

I'm sure JM Labs have corrected this problem with their newer line of speakers.

Another speaker you might consider would be the JMR if you like French sound.
