Stereo Exchange has a very good service department. They should have no problem fixing it.
NYC Repair of Revox B795 direct drive turntable
A non-technical friend in Manhattan, NY asked where to take a Revox B795 direct drive turntable for repair by an experienced tech person. I only know it has stopped working, but no details, except it has worked correctly for decades, until just recently.
Also, if you can suggest a replacement turntable with equivalent automatic operation, in case repair is not practical.
As a last idea, whether anyone in the NYC area has an operating Revox turntable they are willing to sell locally.

They mostly cater to DJs and pro audio but they have done lots of Technics 1200 repairs. Are you sure about that? Unless they changed something, SE's service department is down stairs. You won't see it if you go into the store. Someone has to take you to it. I've been down there several times. |
