Now This is Extraordinary Client Service | Fleetwood Sound Company and Jonathan Weiss


Lately, there have been some negative discussions about the service provided by audio dealers and manufacturers.  This post highlights a different experience.

About a month ago I was messing around with my speakers (Fleetwood Deville) and one of the speaker stands came loose and fell to the floor (most likely user error).  No big deal I thought until I saw the wooden speaker stand was broken.  Each speaker stand consists of two parts and just one of the two halves was damaged.

I sent Jonathan Weiss (Oswald’s Mill Audio / Fleetwood Sound Company) a note asking if I could get replacement for the broken half and he said he would take care of it.  Last week, I received a large box from the Fleetwood Sound Company.  It took me a few minutes to realize that he did not just send me the replacement part but he sent a new set of stands!  Mind you, these are expensive stands so it was quite a shock that he would do such a thing.

When I spoke to him about this, he said he appreciates that I have been a loyal customer and gets what his company is trying to do in producing products that focus on true quality music reproduction and the aesthetics of hifi.

The Fleetwood Deville speakers are the best sounding speakers I have owned.  Couple that with class leading client service, you have a combination that few manufacturers can match.

I love it when a company goes above and beyond. If I ever become pretty wealthy some day I will be reaching out to OMA. I love their products and ideas. 

Thanks for posting this. Too often the negative is posted and not the positive. Hopefully more members will come forward with positive experiences. 

That is very impressive. It's good to remember that there are some guys out there who are truly dedicated to serving their customers.
