I use one, it totally eliminates fine dust other brushes leave behind. I worry about it leaving a residue, but I don't know if it does; just another minor worry, maybe baseless, to add to my life.
There was a version in the 1980s that was tapered —it followed the curve of the record as you rolled it, instead of a straight line over curving grooves. A very effective design. I think Nagaoka made it.
