Norsdost Heimdall iKable

Has anyone heard the Nordost iKable, a mini-to-mini cable for iPod connections in a car, among other places? It's pricey (isn't Nordost always?), $209 for 1 ft., $240.m. I have an inexpensive ($20) Cardas mini-to-mini that I bought at Head-Fi (nice people), but it does not sound very good so I was looking for something better. On long trips, you can't beat an iPod car input, and my car has an excellent stereo system, but I suspect the cable is detracting from quality sound even on uploaded CD's.

Thanks.

I will let you know, Stringreen, as I went ahead and ordered it. You may be right, but I do not see why a better cable in this setting should not make the same difference as , e.g., from a source to a pre.

Thanks.

I went ahead and bought it. I am a consultant and have to be on the road for long period of time between client sites and so was eager to hear the results. It was a definte improvement and worth the money for my usage.
Concerned with an I-Pod cable in a car?
It's gotta be me. Even the Maybach I looked at didn't
have a stereo good enough to warrant a massive cable upgrade especially when listening to MP-3s.....I've never been a 'critical listening in the car' kind of guy, either. I find the 'pod invaluable on long voyages, but could care less about nuance.
