Nice power cable for EMM DCC2-SE: Stealth Dream

I recently placed a Stealth Dream AC cord (preamp-version) on my EMM DCC2-SE and I have had very good results. I use the preamp version because I used the preamp outputs of the DCC2. There is a a more balanced sound, and some CDs with a slightly metallic upper-midrange are now softened just the right amount with no roll-off that I can detect.
The mid-bass in better integrated with the lower bass and just has a more pleasant, warm feeling. Overall, there is more of that holy-grail warm-inviting-no-fatigue thing (at least for me) again without any smearing or cover-up.
I do use Stealth Indra ICs, so maybe there is some synergy.

The Stealth Dream is a nice power cord period. I have had the pleasure of owning several Stealth Dreams, and IMS, IMHO they were they best sounding power cords I have yet heard.

Cheers,

Hello Renaat,

The DCCA Reference Master presents a good bargain in it's price range. Compared to the Stealth Dream, I would say the DCCA RM presents a fuller midrange and more generous bass tonally, while the Dream is more articulate and has more HF extension. As far as soundstage goes, the DCCA stage is a bit wider and higher, while the Dream is more 3 dimensional (more depth). Overall, I did prefer the Stealth Dream, in my system and with my tastes. Both are very good cords, and will depend on what you are seeking as to which will suit your application.....obviously the DCCA cord will be considerably less expensive, so that also may be a determining factor.

Regards,
John
