New Tweak --- Its Fantastic

THE NEW TWEAK

Over the good part of this past year I’ve been beta testing a new tweak, the name of which is "Total Contact." Its a hi-bred graphene contact enhancer that is different from all other contact enhancers that have come and gone for one reason or another. I’m not new to these contact enhancers, having had quite a bit of experience with a product developed by the late Brian Kyle and his "Quick Silver" contact enhancer. The "Total Contact" is different ... a LOT different.

"Total Contact" is graphene based and is not a vibration control. It eliminates micro-arching between two contacts. Micro-arching, much like Micro-vibration smears the sound in our stereo systems. Its the type of distortion that we don’t know is there .... until we eliminate it. There is no break-in as we know it. The sound is improved right off the bat, but what you hear is only a smidgen of what’s to come.

I tested three generations of "TC," each of which was an improvement over the previous incarnation. The final mix was cryogenitically treated and made for a more effective, much smoother application. It comes in a large hypodermic needle type plunger containing 1.5 ml of product and includes a instructional DVD and an application brush.

The application should be applied with a very thin coat to all of your electrical connections .... from your cartridge pins to your power cords. I did my entire system, including the ends of my fuses.

Upon initial application, you will notice an improvement in clarity, correctness of tonal balance and a more overall organic sound. But ... that is just scratching the surface of what this magic paste does. As it cures, the improvements become more apparent. Much more!

There are two real break-through events that happen almost to the day with "Total Contact," one at four weeks and another at eight weeks . At four weeks, you’ll get a real jump in clarity and overall improvement. That’s only a taste though of what’s to come at eight weeks. At eight weeks your system’s focus will make a jump in SQ that is so real - its surreal.

After 40 years in the hobby, and a total tweak nut, I have never heard anything that does what this graphene paste does. The see-through clarity at eight weeks becomes simply amazing. The "paste" eventually cures into a kind of polymer plastic and it seems that the sound improves with each listening session. So, its important that you leave your contacts alone for the duration. If you’re the type of person that continually switches wires in and out, you’ll have to re paste until enough time has elapsed to get "the cure."

The only problem I had was with the first batch and that had to do with shorting out a tube pin in the line stage. Use the "TC" very sparingly on tube pins, if at all. I only had problems with the line stage tube pins. The Amp, CD Player and Phono Stage has had no tube pin problems at all.

Tim Mrock, one of our fellow A’goners, is the developer of the product. Its taken Tim 15 years and several patents to get it right. Tim has "pasted" every electrical contact he can find in his audio system, all of the switches in his circuit breaker box, every contact in his car ... and has used it in commercial applications such as hospital circuit breakers, surgical lights ... and other places where efficiency and long life of electrical components are deemed important.

This product is highly recommended to anyone who truly wants to get the most out of his/her audio systems. There’s enough product in each tube to do at least two audio systems as it just takes a very thin coat on each application to be effective. The last tube was enough to do my system twice and then a friend’s system this past weekend.

Frank

PS: There were a couple of other A’goner beta testers of this product as well. Hopefully, they will chime in here with their experiences for comparison. I "pasted" both of Steve Fleschler’s systems a few days ago, perhaps he will comment on his results too. We forgot to paste Steve’s power cords though, so there’s a lot more to be had from Steve’s two fantastic systems.

Wow, the thread on Black-Blue Fuses and TC magic graphene goo takes up nearly an encyclopaedia of texts!

If both are so good why are they NOT available to "friends", the Aussies

Why are these products not used, in general, all HiFi-or at least in the high end, in components, cable maker connectors, or available to anyone who buys HiFi at a shop

At AUD$400 for TC you have to be kidding! Tim is going to be the darling of silicon valley and all telecommunication/computing uses, and is going to be a multi-millionaire very shortly, if not already.

Oregonpapa, are you on a commission for TC and Blue Fuses?

Boy, give us a break!

@oregonpapa Apologies for my previous post. I am having a hard time and with no relief I used this forum and you, TC and fuses to "blow my fuse". I was rude and there is no excuse for that. Please accept my apologies.

We (Aus) cannot access TC through the link provided which is a shame.

I have read the link from its inception to end and all the gushing reports of success. It would be nice if someone in my hemisphere were able to try it, just so it can be proven that it works upside down. :)

To the other posters, apologies too.

Adrian

I have a new house being built with a dedicated music room. I will wait until the new stereo and HT components, cables etc are being put together.

Now being a commercial product I don't think that Total Contact, commonly known as TC can continue to be called a 'tweak'. It is a commercially available product that may provide enhanced performance of your HiFi connections. Are Blue fuses a "tweak" or a commercial product? @USD$149.00, I don't regard it as a tweak.

I think the OP should change the Header.

If "Total Contact" is a commercial product, it contravenes the policy of not allowing promotion of a commercial product in the AudioGon threads. Other manufacturers and suppliers are forced to abide by this policy, therefore I believe this should follow the same restrictions.

Well moderators?

@oregonpapa I would not call 36 pages of posts "The small stuff". As TM's front man you have done nothing but denigrate naysayers but put up little in the way of measurements to support TC used in the audio arena. This thread is and has been one big blatant advertisement for a product, which should follow the site policy, or do the moderators and site admin allow favouritism to certain products? As a moderator on another forum you should know better, and act as you should on these threads.

@geoffkait Geoff, forever trolling through any subject regardless of interest adding his idiotic little posts like, a little terrier dog at you ankles. perhaps when you reach 10,000you might go poof! or splat, like what doggies doo.

I read threads and posts to learn. If you can't say what you need to say in 2 or 3 posts then you are being deliberately obstructive or evasive, or you don't possess command of the language that you need to repeat, and repeat your self. I think you both just love the sight of your own posts.

@oregonpapa The person responsible for TC HAS posted on this thread and discusses shipments and other commercial discussions with other posters. Don't say this thread hasn't been used as a direct commercial conduit, because it happens to be in black and white, and just a few pages back if you care to read. Again, this forum is being used for direct commercial gain where other manufacturers can't. Rules are supposed to apply to everyone aren't they?

@oregonpapa You and Tim have use this forum to fish for participants (or suckers) for the commercial product TC.

Do you agree or disagree that Total Contact sold by Tim Mrock is a commercial product? Simple question that the moderators of this site should take note of.

You have been actively spruiking this product since 26 Dec 2017. It has used 36 pages of spruiking to say very little. Sales people, or reputable products do not take 36 pages of a forum that is inappropriate for a commercial product.

Why has Tim Mrock not set up his own web page for his product and reviewers, instead of hiding behind an inappropriate forum to ADVERTISE and SELL his commercial product. This is not the appropriate place, according to Audiogon Policy (I can cite the policy if you want), to advertise, promote and sell a commercial product.

Why are you so blatantly deceitful about your dealings on this thread. It is NOT yours, nor is it available to sell commercial goods.

I believe in honesty. Why am I anal about this. Because it is deceitful behaviour. I hate deceit of any kind. That's me; And I will stand up for myself.

I am not for or against the product. I could not care one way or another. But when a policy which disallows manufacturers to advertise in threads, excepting the market place, is blatantly being flouted, why should it not be called out.

Now who is doing the squealing and calling me to task. I have not bent the rules or crossed any line.

You can hide behind any vociferous posts by members on the "what's the problem?" side, but there are posts that do not meet the policy. I do not want to spoil anyone parade, and I am not saying that posts referring to the positives of the use of the product should not be posted. In fact this is what the forum is about.

I just find that 36 pages of "advertisement" for the commercial product a bit over the top and pushes the boundary of a forum policy.

@t_ramey The CPT thread, when I joined it had been in damage control for some time after it was found that the company was in financial stress. There was no advertising because there were no products available. In fact the owner was much vilified over it that misdemeanours of his past from a decade ago were posted and he was viciously attacked by some via anonymous posters.

You may be aware, or not, that threads advertising Tekton speakers were pulled very quickly. in fact there were 3 threads deleted on the same subject. And the CPT threads got pulled as well.

If I were you, I advise you to compare apples with apples. TC is a commercial product that IS using this thread to spread the word. There are so many posts in the thread that the promotion is subliminal.

As I said in my last post, I am all for discussion on all matters within the forum. But I take exception that some manufacturers/marketers are pulled and some are allowed to continue to advertise, hidden in the guise of product discussion. Why isn't there a separate web page for the product?

Because, like Tupperware, the product relies on word of mouth, or in this case, post by post.

As I also stated in my previous post, I am neither for against the product. There are only empirical statements available on its benefit so I remain uninterested.

But to those posters telling me to go away a do something else, to wit Tommylion 'Advertisements are intrusive and generally not easy to avoid. This thread is NOT intrusive (Just the opposite, you actually have to navigate to it, and open it, in order to read it.), and is EASILY avoided by those who are offended by it in any way. The real problem is that some think it should not be allowed to exist, merely because it offends them."

The only way a person finds out about a product, a review or comment is by reading each thread and post. If my appraisal polarises some readers because it offends the norm, need to a big drink of reality. I am entitled to my opinion as much as the rest of you.

There will always be like posts and the questioners. Or is this only a likes club?

I thought redneck discrimination had been cast to the annuls of history. it would seem that some of you have not caught up with the modern times.

I am sorry if what I say disturbs some of you, and creates ripples in a cosy pond. And I am vilified by casting a stone into the water. What next? Am I to be crucified? Hung drawn and quartered? Expelled to the naughty room?

I thought free speech and guns are what Americans valued and held dear to your hearts. At least we banned the guns.

@clearthink Everyone is entitled to their opinion, good or bad, for or against, or 50/50 down the middle. It is supposed to be a free world I understand. I don't think an OP owns a thread. It is just a party starter...

I am really not upset or angry. Just stating an opinion.

@oregonpapa Excellent! I am glad you and Robert enjoyed your system. I am thoroughly enjoying mine with a light touch of classical.

Oh, I don't frequent bars. I don't touch alcohol. It rots your brain and body. I'll stick with tea or water.

I may be opinionated, but I believe in fair play.

The following comes from this site's policy... exerpt "You agree never to post to or use Our Website or any Public Venue for any purpose that is illegal, fraudulent, infringes the rights of others, or includes advertising, promotional material, solicitation of business, chain letters, pyramid schemes, solicitation of wagering or gambling, spamming, or that is otherwise illegal or inappropriate."

I would advise everyone to read it before slagging off at me.

Just say'in, look at the same modus operandi for SR Red Fuse, SR Black Fuse, SR Blue Fuse, Total Contact.

Check who started each thread and how similar the wording for each is; "subliminal advertising"? or enthusiastic word of mouth for a company?

Just say'in

@thecarpathian It is a waste I have to admit. Opinions on such matters are bound to be polarising. Still, I was just being honest, as I saw it. Lucky I am not within rock throwing distance or I'd come out black and bruised. sticks and stones,,, and all that.

Oh, thanks for asking, but the Dr's haven't got a handle on the "C" yet. So not sure of the future, That's probably influenced my bravado. I'll pull my woolly head in and behave from now. :)

@tommylion Is that a bit like an ostrich putting it's head in the sand? If I think there is something that needs saying, I am not afraid to say it, despite the flak it causes me.
All the obvious blindsiding and product support in this and previous Threads of similar ilk must have great influence over the Moderators. And to hide it in Member Reviews subject is a stroke of genius, or deliberate act to hide that underhanded actions the go against the spirit of the forum policy. It sets a great example to all those who wish to advertise here, in the guise of a member review. Go for it manufacturers! You now have carte blanch, and if any one complains, point them to the successive threads of this sort by the OP.
This is like the stoning of the sceptics (Oxford  Dictionary; skeptics: Funk and Wagnalls), by the religious zealots who believed the earth was flat. Even Nicolaus Copernicus was confined to his house.

@Tommylion I happened to state what was the truth, and you guys got all hot and bothered that someone might actually might be correct, someone  quoted actual policy, and said, I felt this thread was inappropriate behaviour. My argument was backed by actual policy. Where are your facts?

I have been insulted by quite a number of posts and YOU are ok with that though.

Well all, thanks to a very personal attack on me, particularly my health, I am out. There are certain elements of debate that can be accepted or not, but demeaning and personal attacks by one @geoffkait who happens to be a grub, has left me with no desire to participate here.

To those I understood, I thank, and I believe I know who you are. To those not involved, I wish you the best. To creeps like the person mentioned and others affiliated, I hope you get what you deserve.

goodbye

All, although up to now and may be every now and then, I will add a post. I am NOT a Troll or a newbee. I did not denigrate the product. I asked about it's apparent allowance regarding advertising on the Forum. As it stands I stand corrected as this has been allowed to continue. I have no further problem.

I do have a problem with the various comments which went very personal. None of my comments were personal, they were to the allowance and practice of posting product on the in a thread. I have discussed this with the Administrators and understand their oversight of the forum a lot better.

I have watched, read and have learnt about the American psyche from the thread "Do you think U.S. Tariffs on Aluminum and Steel will affect domestic audio manufacturing?"

The topic of the thread has ranged right around politics, both past and present, and why the US is where it is today. But I must say, the US is not alone in the degeneration of society (and politics) in general. But it did allow me to see into the lives and opinions of the various posters, so I can understand what is happening (in general terms) to peoples lives over there.

Additionally, to get some pretty nasty people off my back, Lord knows I have enough going on in my life, I am NOT against TC as a product or against Tim or Oreganpapa or any other supporter, or not.

Tim knows I have said I will buy the product when my new house is built and my new system is ready to be put together. Nearly all of you were pretty disgusted with my previous posts on this thread. however, no one said negative posts were not allowed.

But please, leave personal issues out of the posts. The threads and posts are about opinion on a subject, not directly of people. I have been and remain very timid about posting my knowledge again on this Forum.

In the above mentioned forum one post mentions the increase in mid life suicide or suicide at any age. It is a huge social problem brought on by the apparent view that there is no future in their own lives and they are so mentally beaten down, this is the final resort to stop the hurting.

I personally know that black hole, and I have saved my own daughter several times from it. She spent months on a psychiatric hospital and was finally diagnosed with BPD (for those that don't know it, look it up). She is married with 2 girls. She is 30 years old, so mental illness is not relegated to any age group. Hopelessness can effect anyone at any age.

I am not writing this for sympathy, but to state my position in all of this.

Adrian

Skeptics are only people who ask for a product specification as you would if purchasing a new HiFi component. People who have tried and are happy with the product have based their purchasing decision on empirical trust. Both parties should be able to base their to use the product or not. simple decision that does not require any nasties.
@thecarpathion Thank you for the kind words and encouragement. It is not a pleasant position to be in and I know my beautiful rock, my wife, is really hurting. She keeps me sane in a seemingly, unjust world.
