New Tascam CDRW-900MK11 compared to Alesis Masterlink 9600?

 For standard red book CD recording any ideas if the Tascam is as good as the old Alesis.My Alesis is aging and would like to know it can be replaced with a new unit that sounds as good.I suspect it would.
