New Look for Audiogon hard to work with

Is there a way to undo the "tile" look? It was a lot easier to work with the text list.

Just adding another request to get rid of that stupid port hole over the thumbnail of the listings.
I suggest the default view be the "classic view" without needing to sign into the site.
I see Audiogon has really listened to their users comments. Nothing has changed and that stupid porthole or view through a port a potty view is still there. Nice audiogon!
@aztubes.

Audiogon has listened to their users.

For those users who do not like our new listing layout.  You can go back to our classic view.  This option is on our search page.
This option was added only two days after the new release.  We also sent an email about it.  Please contact support if you are not receiving our emails so we can assist you.

Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like one of the search options is gone. It is no longer possible to search for the exact model and type of component.

For example, on the home page I select Speaker Cables; next, multiple pages of speaker cables are displayed...fine.
Now I want to find Purist; since there is no longer a window to enter the brand of cable, I select NAME....
and what is displayed is every speaker cable available sorted by manufacturer. I had to read thru 5 pages of cables and never found any Purist.

Is it me or is this a lame design? Thanks to anybody who can help.

On the home page search window at the top of the page "Search for equipment or music.." type in the name brand you desire... and it should take you to the brand name page listings.
Thanks. I tried it and it doesn't work as well as the old search function.
I get a mix of all cables and other related items.

Previously, it would filter out everything except speaker cables.

There is nothing good to be said about this latest "improvement".

I do not see one positive response addressing what the managers have done this time.

It seems as if the new viewing portals were installed to deliberately degrade the website.

So I would like to ask the powers that be, please explain to us what exactly were you attempting to do?

Hoping for a return to normal,

Mark

I have to agree. Long time A’Gon user and this UI is the worst.  I hope they’re listening?.?
It's horrible, it hasn't worked for us in quite some time. Since Arnie owned it and before the change. They also seem to favor certain people with special rates We use to be able to sell a lot of items but now the fees cost more than we make in sales. It's not worth it. We do a lot better on Ebay. I wish it would just go back to the way it was. When it worked
For a long time now I've only come to this site for the forums and I do any buying and selling on US Audio Mart or canuck audio mart.
This site has been proliferated by crap and is all about the almighty dollar
@analogluvr ......wholeheartedly agree!  I’ve some items for sale here currently.  If they don’t sell, I’ll list them elsewhere.  I won’t be selling/buying here anymore.  In fact, I’m finding it difficult to come to this site much anymore for any reason.
Its downright ugly and hinders the user experience.  This is the second major overhaul for audiogon.  I actually prefer the way it looked when I first joined 15 years ago!
Even though the system show me as a new member as of today, I have about 10 total transactions over the years.
FYI to sellers, I refuse to look at ads with the new "Keyhole" looking photos.
At 50+, I can see the old school photos just fine but I need to put my readers on to view the new style and that is too distracting when I am browsing at ads.
I may not be your target customer but my browsing gives me ideas and makes me want to purchase items.  If I am not browsing your ads I may be missing something great but you are missing a viewing of your product.
Take this as a grain of salt or not.
SK

One of the best things about the "new" Audiogon platform is quietly working with disquieted long-time Audiogon users who are having problems posting or searching. The name of this smart and infinitely patient customer service rep is Tammy. A treasure. Thanks again, Tammy.
