New Joseph Audio Pulsar Graphene 2

Just wanted to update my prior thread where this topic may have gotten lost.  As many of you may know by now, Joseph Audio has come out with the new Pulsar Graphene 2. This new iteration of the venerable Pulsars has a graphene coated magnesium midrange-woofer cone, and the drive motor, suspension system, etc., have been revamped. From what I have been told, the upgrade is pretty significant ... the sound is fuller and has greater ease, yet is very resolved. Jeff Joseph advises that an upgrade path will be available for existing owners of the Pulsars, too. Also, note that the price quoted in the Soundstage piece was in Canadian dollars ... Jeff informs me that the price in USD is $8,999 per pair. I am eager to hear the new Pulsars.

A.T.  didnt even know the name of AVANTE GARDE in his initial post about AXPONA. Probably the first dealer I have run across that never heard of them. Then again...anybody that would set up shop in Jersey City which is the armpit of NJ obviously has questionable judgment and business sense. Has to come on Audiogon and do the used car salesman sales pitch because there isn't enough foot traffic. Would you risk getting mugged just to check out some speakers? Don't forget to wear your Kevlar. Make sure you don't miss future store openings in Camden, Trenton, Patterson and Perth Amboy

As for the 3F Persona's he is the only person from Axpona that says they sounded good. The most often used term I have read is "Shrill". Hardly a positive endorsement.

A.T.

Im from New Jersey Einstein.  Only reason values are high in Jersey City is because of NYC being so close by. If you put lipstick on a pig its still a pig and thats Jersey City...And Newark/Elizabeth...one big toxic waste dump. I bet you don't walk the streets at night in Jersey City pal.

Do you lure people in by offering a free meal with you at the infamous Mrs America Diner??

The comments made about the 3F Speakers came from real people on sites like Audiogon/Audio Shark/Audio Aficionado etc. Not people who get paid to have the brands advertise in their magazines. Thats about as meaningful and trustworthy as you who only blow the horns of the brands you carry.  Bet you didn't trash Luxman and others when you were carrying their line. You only trash them after they are taken away from you and how everything you now carry is SOOOO much better.  Your a joke and incredibly insincere and transparent. You probably got your "savvy" from working at a CRAZY EDDIE's store back in the day.

Wondering if I will have to send my Pearl 3's in for an upgrade in the near future since everything else appears to be getting a facelift.
Old Bridge is in the Sticks? Population 70,000 with Route 9 (Born To Run), Route 18, Exit 11 on the Turnpike. Ever hear of RACEWAY PARK (Probably not). Talk about getting facts straight. LOL

You keep bringing up property value....whats up with that? The closer you are to ANY major "market" city the property values go up. I have friends in North Jersey who live in 1250 Square Foot homes that are 70-80 years old that go for 400K. I wouldnt live in those shacks for Half that amount. Whats your point?? House Value and Population size = Quality of Life??? LOL

Havent lived in Old Bridge for 25 years But it was a wonderful SUBURB to grow up in. Guess you think East Brunswick, Woodbridge, Marlboro, Freehold are all "in the sticks". Too Funny. By your metrics EVERYTHING south of Jersey City is "the Sticks" except for Trenton I guess.

As for Route 9 + 18. No virtues....Don't know many 3 and 4 Lane Highways to be "in the sticks".

Actually it was a veiled threat and there is no place for that on Audiogon. You should be banished permanently
Im kinda thinking a 36K Speaker will be a substantial improvement over a 13K speaker but hey thats just me.
Celo, So you think Joseph Audio would make their 36K Speaker sound inferior to their 13-15K Model?? Do you have an ounce of common sense at all? Im not surprised with your vast intellect and reasoning skills that you cant afford a pair of the perspectives.

Your welcome Pops. More than happy to share my list of gear including the Pearls and about 14 or 15 other pairs of speakers/amp combo's in my possession. The Perspectives are a Minor League version of the Pearls. Its not like Harbeth where you have 5 Speakers which all sound completely differently in their lineup at different price points. Its more like comparing the 40.1 to the 40.2 except the difference is even more exaggerated.

I recently ditched my Dag 400 Mono's, Accuphase E-800, Audio Research 160M and Audio Note Jinro amps otherwise I would have about 20 Amps in stock. I'll be happy to go toe to toe if you want to exchange lists Pops. My gear is worth more than my house and Im in an affluent area of Bucks County, PA

I'll let you know when I grow up Celo and when I suffer fools. I might be dead before then thou. Have been comfortably retired since 2009 in my Mid 40's.

I was merely pointing out the Pearl vs Perspectives in my initial post...2 Speakers. Celo took it down an entirely different road which wasnt my intention nor do I understand WHERE it came from.

Im from New Jersey/New York area. We all have attitudes...see POTUS.
I dont use my Pearl’s. They need more room to breathe than I can offer at this time. Will probably cash them in or trade in the near future.

Last year I bought Pearl's off this gentleman in Maryland. He switched to Devore's (The X or one of the Nines) because to him they had greater resolution/detail than the Pearl's. His musical "catalog" was vastly different than mine...mostly Female vocals and lighter stuff. To his ears it wasnt even close as to which speaker put the artist in his listening room.
