I always find it amusing when people post YouTube videos to demonstrate the sound of a speaker. They sound just as good as the speaker on my laptop! 🤣

The Fischer&Fischer speakers are selling like mad. I cant keep them in stock. nothing and I mean nothing sounds as smooth and natural and dynamic as these speakers. Ive even got a video of David Chesky at Florida Audio Expo '24 who asked for an after hours private listening session after hearing his recordings in our room during normal hours, and commented on how excellent the sound was. We won a "Best in show" Blue Moon Award from Enjoy the Music for the SN70 Monitors at Capitol Audio Fest '24, so make no mistake, this speaker brand is upsetting the normal MDF/Wood value proposition and smashing it. This is a true exotic material. other great brands like Rockport, that sound very good, use material available en masse from the lumber supplier. mdf or pressed, glued sawdust with automotive paint on it may sound good, but is nowhere near an exotic, its quite the opposite type of material. Granite is stiffer and colder sounding as its a crystalline structure, whereby slate is a layered petrified sedimentary mud from the dinosaur age. That layering acts similar to constrained layer designs and has an extremely natural, live and engaging sound. In regards to Youtube, people with good ears can hear the difference between syatems , all the crappy compression considered. 90% of these speakers sell to folks that have not heard them in person. Because 1. they trust my word and expertise. 2. trust my bona fide return policy and 3. listen to others live on my channel talking about how amazing the speakers are and how its affected them and thier family insofar as recreation time and enjoyment. any questions just go to the 11stereo website and call me... |
@mikepowellaudio - I’m glad you represent these speakers in the USA, Mikey. I came across them from a guy down under in Australia who has them paired with a SoulNote Dac and Amp. Yes, over YouTube, but they sounded amazing. |
The SN70 look like great standmounts for the price. https://the-ear.net/review-hardware/fischer-and-fischer-sn70-hard-speakers/ |
today there are many ultra dense non mdf loudspeakers out there
we import the Jern loudspeakers from Denmark they have probably the most inert cabinets on the planet they are tiny although extremely heavy they range from 25lbs to 75 lbs depending on the model their cabinets are cast iron and graphite
The combination of the Jern 14 ES and REL T5/i is as close to a perfect speaker as you could get for this price. They do nothing wrong and set standards in terms of soundstage, three-dimensionality, neutrality, and clarity far beyond their price range. The already excellent bass quality can be further enhanced by adding a second subwoofer, if desired. The fact that the ensemble also looks really good and is easy to place is a welcome addition.
so aside from slate you have loudspeakers made from rock, cast iron and carbon fiber to look at from Acora, Jern, Rockport respectively.
