today there are many ultra dense non mdf loudspeakers out there

we import the Jern loudspeakers from Denmark

they have probably the most inert cabinets on the planet they are tiny although extremely heavy they range from 25lbs to 75 lbs  depending on the model

their cabinets are cast iron and graphite

The combination of the Jern 14 ES and REL T5/i is as close to a perfect speaker as you could get for this price. They do nothing wrong and set standards in terms of soundstage, three-dimensionality, neutrality, and clarity far beyond their price range. The already excellent bass quality can be further enhanced by adding a second subwoofer, if desired. The fact that the ensemble also looks really good and is easy to place is a welcome addition.

so aside from slate you have loudspeakers made from rock, cast iron and carbon fiber to look at from Acora, Jern, Rockport respectively.
