Moving: Where should I place speakers in my new room?
Hiya folks,
My family and I are moving into a new home and we'll have family room in the basement that will also function as my listening space. Does anyone have recommendations on where I should place my speakers? You can get a gist of the room here.
The room entrance is open and has no door, there are also two egress windows along the East wall. These do recess from the wall about a foot and a half.
In the northwest corner there will be a TV stand with a 49" TV, video game consoles, and a sound bar.
For the stereo I'm thinking either West wall, with the seating along the East wall. Alternatively, and if the couch fits okay, I'm also thinking speakers on the North wall with seating on the South wall.
Thoughts on this? Am I better off moving speakers/seating placement elsewhere? I'm looking for the best possible location where the egress windows won't come into play too much.
