Modified Rega RP3 vs. RP6

I own a Rega RP3 turntable a couple of years old.  Being new to this site, I've read with interest all the posts on tweaks. I've just ordered the improved belt and new aluminum subplatter. I'm considering getting the Rega TT PSU.
 My question is would I be better off just buying a new or used RP6 instead of spending $400 on the PSU?
Also, I've never bought used before.  Is it practical with a TT?

I had a P5 with mods.  IME, I couldn't hear an audible difference with/without theTTPSU.
You will actually hear a  difference with the aftermarket sub/belt.

Are you visiting Vinylengine.com? There are plenty of Rega fanatics
who can offer perspective also.

May be a better choice to upgrade to the RP6, or even better, the RP8.
