ML 30 or 37 Transports

I'm looking at either a ML 30 or 37 transport. Yes, they are both old, but I have owned each many years ago and liked them. Maybe some of it is nostalgia at this point.

Let's assume that they are both mechanically sound, which do you feel has the better sound?

Back when I had #37, ML service policy required $750 deposit just to look at unit, don't know present policy.

Thanks.

The old transports can be serviced, but I have no idea what the cost is.

#37 best transport ever owned, when it died never found adequate replacement, gave up on cd's and went to streaming at that point.

The Phillips Pro transport in these fantastic, attention to vibration through careful mounting of unit,  and nice power supply, all very nice. Never heard the 30 in my own system.

I'd be concerned with age with either of these, cd transports limited lifetimes, doubt NOS Phillips Pro replacements have been available for some time.

Digital transports are not like turntables. They all have to output the same bits to conform to the Redbook CD standard. This is a scientific fact. People that claim to hear differences are delusional. Error defects in CD's are easily handled by the Reed Solomon protocol.
