Mid price receiver

Trying to help out a friend. What's a decent 400$-500$ receiver that has side outputs for the surrond? I was looking at some Yamahas but couldn't see side outputs.

We're far away from big cities and the offerings here are Sony, Marantz, Yamaha, Panasonic and Rotel. I prefer Yamaha in this bunch, Rotel is out of the price range. Long live home delivery!
