Perhaps Windows 8.1 does not support the driver.
MHDT Lab Havana Driver
Hey Guys/Gals.
I just purchased a used Havana DAC for my office system and downloaded the driver into my Dell PC - I'm using JRIVER as the media server. I've extracted the driver files and of course, made the proper connections using USB cable and turned on the unit, but Windows is not recognizing the DAC and JRIVER does not show the driver as an option in its Audio Device list (have had no problems with this prior with other drivers). I've rebooted the computer more than once and turned the DAC off and on. Can anyone offer guidance here? My PC runs the following:
Window version 8.1 Intel (R) Core i3-4150 CPU @ 3.50GHz Installed Memory (RAM) 64 bit Operating System, x64 based processor
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS~!

Did you save a backup copy of the original installed driver on the Havana before you installed the new driver? If not, here are the .01 and .02 versions of the driver, and try the other one. Hopefully one of these works better for ya. Email MHDT if not. Best of luck. http://www.mhdtlab.com/Usbdriver.htm |
