Meridian 508.24 CD Player - Anything new on finding a replacement transport?

I have a wonderful Meridian 508.24 CD Player that has been down for a couple of years because there are no replacement transports  available.  These transports were apparently made by Phillips and Phillips no longer makes them.

Is there any workaround for this problem?    I can’t bring myself to recycle this very pricey product.    I’ve even wondered if 3D printer technology could solve the problem, but I know so little about 3D printing that I suppose it’s a foolish wish
