@mahgister I don't want you to leave and don't believe the original post was about you but you do seem to get off topic at times and do tend to post long multiple diatribes about theories not actually related to audio . The electricity post should be put down to never see the light of day again. I'm sure I'm not going to get the Audiogon good citizen award but "come on man" Oh and Tesla was a robot ... from the future. |
To me this forum is a lot like high school. There are cliques, posers and stars. I’m as susceptible to acceptance as anyone and admit when someone responds to a post I made there is that Sally Fields moment that "They like me, they really like me". There is also that odd kid that wants so hard to be accepted (I know cause in high school and maybe still, I was one them). They will try anything get attention positive or negative it just doesn’t matter it’s attention. I believe we are experiencing someone with a lot more issues than rambling on and on incoherently on an audio forum. I’ll admit I tried snarky, I’ve also reached out directly and I’ve concluded that they just can’t help themselves. In their minds they believe they are imparting wisdom to the uneducated masses but can’t realize that the true uneducated one is themselves. Is it annoying to have to scroll thru a half a page of nonsense to try to get to the reason you’re here, yes it is but we really need empathy. If you read the posts subtext they have a mentor that they rely on to guide them but don’t have the self control or means to understand the mistakes they are making. I guess all I’m saying is most of you get it and can exchange insults with the best of them but there are a few that just can’t. Show some humanity, banter with your equal but use some discretion on the obviously challenged. Like me... |
