Maximum length for optical toslink

Hi all,
I have moved to PC based digital and currently have my PC about 20' away from my DAC, with a 25' optical cable between them...is this a no-no? Is there any reason to believe that my sound quality will suffer as a result? I am considering moving to a Duet...but not for a while.
Also, I do not really have the space to move my computer closer...
thanks for your suggestions.

It shouldn't be a problem, see:

for more information.
25' is nothing for a optical signal. There should be no negative effect on the sound.

I suspect toslink would be good for 50 feet or more...That is something I am going to find out once I am able to move back in my house. The TV in the bedroom will be a good 30 feet away at least by the time I get the cable routed to where the amplifier will be. I don't think running RCA cables that far is a good idea, so Toslink it will be.
