It depends. You'll get better sound plugging the dac directly into the amp if you don't have a really good preamp. However, as you move up the ladder in preamps, you'll get to a point where the preamp sounds better. I would first try going direct and see how you like it. You can always buy a preamp later on.

This question is addressed to the person who have listening the dac. Will i need a preamp to get the full potential of the dac or can i simply plug it directly into my poweramp and get the best of it.
