Well how does it sound? And how small a room? And have you considered room treatments if that's domestically allowable?
Hello jond Thank you for taking my ?  my living room is  15' /  15'  hard wood floors  i just purchased isoacoustic gala 1  feet for my speakers  without speaker placement i feel its hopeless no room treatment as of yet But synergistic research looks interesting
@geleary123 ,

Square rooms are not ideal. You might consider a diagonal setup. If you search the archives, there are a few threads on that topic.

I used to own Thiel 3.6. They are very revealing & will do a great job but aren't too forgiving on anything upsteam. But you can't really consider that until you've optimized your setup in the room. The Thiels will really benefit from placement away from the wall behind.

Room treatment will help a ton. Opinions differ WIDELY, on best approach. Budget & effort is a consideration. Personally, a traditional approach...bass traps in corners and panels make the most impact and certainly impact relative to cost. IMHO, The Synergistic products are marginally effective unless you buy it all and spend a ton. Even then I'm not so sure they stand up comparatively. Plenty of claims that are over my head! Genius or snake oil...I've heard it called both.
Others take the digital signal processing approach vs. stuff in the room. Being an analog guy like me, that might not suit you philosophically. But your partner might prefer a box to stuff on the wall etc.

Tackle the room, one way or another, and if you're still not thrilled, then it's time to consider if one component or another might not be your best match w/ the others. But that's a whole different thread or two. Cheers,
Spencer
I second @sbank 's advice on using basstraps in the corners. In a square room, you will have a huge problem with standing waves, given your front-to-rear and side-to-side walls produce the same frequency standing wave.

You should also treat your first reflection points. You can identify those areas easily with the help of small self adhesive mirrors. Those areas you should use a combination of absorbers and diffusors.

You've spent quite a lot on your system, so it worth your while to spend a little on treatments. You can start small; get a single good quality basstrap and put it into a corner, and a couple of good quality diffusers/absobers and treat a single side wall.  If you are happy with the results you expand the treatments.
