Mac MA 12000 integrated amp vs. Mac separates?

I've been thinking this as well,

maybe reducing the box count and going from my c2700 and mc275 to the integrated hybrid. I wonder what the trade offs are if any and what the benefits are (other then less box's, more power). Its a nice integrated for sure. more power then i'll ever need but i like the hybrid topology. 

I'll be following this thread for sure. 

I upgraded from the MA 8900 to 611 monoblocks and a c22 pre-amp(didn’t need the 2700’s DAC).  It is a significant improvement, and although I haven’t heard the 12000, I suspect these separates would be a substantial step up from it as well.

I decided to order the Mac MC611 and C12000 (12000c & 12000ST) preamp to start with.
