Lyngdorf TDAI 3400 Digital Crossover

Has anyone used the digital crossover available in the Lyngdorf 3400 to bi-amp a pair of speakers via there binding posts. If so was the benefit worth the extra cost of a second amp and cables.

I have a pair of open baffle Jamo R909 whose binding posts crossover to Bass/Mids and Tweeters and was thinking of using the amp in the 3400 to drive the tweeters (a bit of overkill) and a pair of Bel Canto Ref 600M mono blocks to drive the Bass/Mids.

The Jamos have twin 15" bass drivers in each speaker and need to be tightly controlled to sound their best.

Thanks in advance,

Dean

I've though about that for a long time, and have run with it for a couple of days. Everything sounds amazingly clear bypassing the speakers crossovers. Running opposite, so the "subwoofer out" (analog) ends up feeding the tweeters via a separate icepower amp. Did you try it?
