The Sonore Optical Rendu is as good as the Lumin X1 as a streamer. They sound different and preferences will vary. A sort of chocolate vs vanilla comparison. Both are great when used with a fibre input.

Has anyone any real knowledge about this being true or not additionally what other "high end streamers"may be hyped up but the actualy componets inside are matched or even bettered by lower cost units ?
