Caught myself listening simultaneously, and enjoying it. Adds width to the sound field. I remembered this post. My set up: Desktop speakers: Monsoon MM-2000. Headphones: Hifiman Ananda. RME AD-2 DAC used as dac and as amp for both my headphones & desktop speaker system. YMMV :)

This is actually fairly interesting.... One of my systems has a surround-field function, connected to near-field monitors. With open backed headphones, imaging and sound-staging abilities would likely improve.showbox If you don't have this kind of set up, then there's really no point. i agree! |
