Lii Audio drivers and speaker

I’ve been curious about these for awhile.  They look really damn nice..

They do look nice. They are also popular for DIY projects.

A friend was oogling about the LA drivers when they first came out, and he bought a pair for his flea-watt amps along with a group of his buddies running the same amps. Now trying baffle options and other ideas as I gather. Waiting to hear back on his final conclusions. 

I purchased a pair of these speakers from the DECWARE site. (Crystal 10). Paid around $2500.  Two months went by and I still heard nothing about my speakers...when being built/shipped etc NADDA.   Eventually I contacted my CC company and had the transaction cancelled. THEN I finally heard back from Lii Audio and they offered me a Free $300-ish driver...they blamed COVID for their lack of communication etc.  I said "what I am I going to do with your driver?"...its worthless to me. Im not a DIY guy.  They may be a great company BUT not in my experience.  You might want to look at the USED ones that come up for sale. The Speakers are chipped to hell...whatever those are made out of they start peeling. The Re-sale value is about a $2000 loss.  They come in Crates and not boxes so Good luck trying to get rid of them later.

While researching all/every FR driver in the world, I came upon Lii Fast 8, the older model 
Read amazon **Rave** reviews,  + a Audiogon member here PMed me,  he had a pair and were **absoluetly fantastic*, So the older Model Fast 8 being on sale, I picked up a pair for $, honestly can't recall, memory slips it was like 8 months ago, anyway, sold them off next  day on ebay at half price,,,,
Chinese Full range drivers sound terrible. Now it is true I have not heard DavidLouis higher end line, so those may hold some promise. ($500)
But honestly, if you are looking for true fidelity at a  fair price , ck out Voxativ entry single ful range. @ $2k, = best bang.
Don't waste your time with cheap chinese single drivers. 
Yes I see Lii has a  new Crystal 10, at 1200 or so. 
IMHO its OK, nothing great, for a  additional $800 you get the *real deal* = Vox
...or if you have cash the AER's
China can not make a  high fidelity speaker. 
They shine in electronics only, Speakers is not their thing.
