Liberty Audio X-VOX Loudspeaker

Came across this guy on youtube named Mike Powell that has a channel called OCD HIfiguy. Passionate dude for sure who has piqued my interest with this speaker. A 6K speaker competing with the 12k plus crowd. Yeah, we've heard this before.  Liberty Audio sells direct so it is quite possible.

scanspeak drivers are not special  you can buy them off the shelf Dont get me wrong they are ok they are not tuned for a  any one company  cabinet design.   they are just a shelf item I have used the in making DYI kits just not my choice in the future

I have had these in my home to audition  using a krell ksa150 amp and a Bat Rex3 amp  bat VK53se fully mod  the Liberty dont even come close to my 40+ yo THIEL 3.6 end of the story

I can tell you from first hand experience that the Liberty Audio X-VOX Loudspeakers are the “Real Deal”! Previously owned the amazing AZ Crescendo’s at $$$ and these are on the same level and are more transparent, fuller sounding with better bass in the same room/position even though the AZ can play down to 20 Hz.

These speakers are seamless from top to bottom with outstanding imaging/sound staging and images just floating in space no where near the boundaries of the loudspeakers. It’s the designer’s knowledge and implementation of high quality ScanSpeak drivers, high quality crossover parts and a beautiful crafted cabinet plays an integral role.

I have owned Thiels, Vandersteen, Martin Logan, Avalon’s and Full Range Driver Speakers and at this price point, can’t even imagine why many others have not discovered these…

I don’t know the YouTube guy from a hole in the wall and haven’t seen his video, but I demoed a pair of PBN B741 speakers ($8500) made by the same designer and seems to follow a similar recipe of using ScanSpeak drivers and other premium parts.  They were excellent speakers that were neutral and natural sounding with some of the best imaging and 3D soundstage I’ve heard.  I thought the B741s were fully on the level of the Joseph Audio Perspectives, so I’d agree with YouTube guy that the speakers punch well above their weight price wise.  I assume the X-VOX would perform at a similar level (with a nicer cabinet IMO) given it’s a very similar configuration to the B741, and if that’s the case I can’t think of a better all-around speaker for $6k if that’s their price.  Hope this helps.
Yeah, I follow his youtube channel and I think for a while he was selling them for less than that.  Seems like they might be a decent option for a full range speaker that doesn't break the bank.
