I don’t know the YouTube guy from a hole in the wall and haven’t seen his video, but I demoed a pair of PBN B741 speakers ($8500) made by the same designer and seems to follow a similar recipe of using ScanSpeak drivers and other premium parts. They were excellent speakers that were neutral and natural sounding with some of the best imaging and 3D soundstage I’ve heard. I thought the B741s were fully on the level of the Joseph Audio Perspectives, so I’d agree with YouTube guy that the speakers punch well above their weight price wise. I assume the X-VOX would perform at a similar level (with a nicer cabinet IMO) given it’s a very similar configuration to the B741, and if that’s the case I can’t think of a better all-around speaker for $6k if that’s their price. Came across this guy on youtube named Mike Powell that has a channel called OCD HIfiguy. Passionate dude for sure who has piqued my interest with this speaker. A 6K speaker competing with the 12k plus crowd. Yeah, we've heard this before.
